In today’s veterinary practice, radiography has become part of the daily routine, whether taking dental X-rays or using a full-body X-ray system, or other specialty devices such as a computed tomography and fluoroscopy. Staff members take precautions by keeping a safe distance from the X-ray equipment and wearing personal protective gear such as lead aprons, gloves, and thyroid collars.
