These dermatophyte culture systems for the detection of pathogenic fungus from veterinary sources feature removable lids for easy entry of the specimen, and they are easily placed on a microscope stage for low-power viewing. Individually wrapped for extended shelf life (one year). DuoSab DTM/Sabouraud Dextrose Agar combines both DTM and the conventional Sabouraud Dextrose Agar.
The Sabouraud media is a much less selective media than DTM and ensures you don't miss a positive ringworm. Sabouraud media provides the classical non-pigmented color and morphology of the suspected dermatophyte.
