Changes to the in-box shipping document

Beginning mid-January 2020, Covetrus North American will begin important system upgrades. These upgrades will result in valuable enhancements to the customer order experience. One of the main enhancements will be the availability of a new in-box packing slip.

What is changing?

Leading up to the implementation, customers can select between three options for their in-box shipping document: packing list, packing list without pricing, or the existing invoice. If the packing list or packing list without pricing is selected, the invoice and statement will continue to be available through email or review on northamerica.covetrus.com.

What is included in the packing list?

The new in-box packing slip, with or without pricing, includes many valuable enhancements that will optimize your receiving process.

The new and useful enhancements include:

• Lot numbers and expiration dates
• Container and item numbers
• DEA numbers for ship-from and ship-to locations (when applicable)
• Order number

Why are we making this change?

Through the planning of these system upgrades, Covetrus has the opportunity to provide an enhanced in-box document that will provide customers a clear presentation of needed information when receiving an order from Covetrus North America. A survey of 7000 Covetrus North America customers was conducted prior to finalizing the packing list. Based on the findings from this survey – the majority of respondents say the new packing list will be useful, and agree that it is a reasonable substitute for the original in-box invoice.
