Protivity is the first modified live vaccine developed specifically for protecting calves against respiratory disease caused by Mycoplasma bovis. In a challenge study with young dairy calves, Protivity demonstrated efficacy in reducing lung lesions by 43.6%. Calves can be exposed at an early age to Mycoplasma bovis, leaving them vulnerable to infections. Protivity has the youngest age approved for administration with a label indication for calves one week of age or older.
