For vaccination of healthy dogs 6 weeks of age or older as an aid in preventing canine distemper caused by canine distemper (CD) virus; infectious canine hepatitis
caused by canine adenovirus type 1 (CAV-1); respiratory disease caused by
canine adenovirus type 2 (CAV-2); canine parainfluenza caused by canine
parainfluenza (CPiV) virus; enteritis caused by canine coronavirus (CCV),
canine parvovirus (CPV) and CPV-2c; and leptospirosis caused byLeptospira
canicola, L. grippotyphosa, L. icterohaemorrhagiaeandL.
pomona. Healthy dogs should receive 2 doses administered 3 weeks apart, followed by a single dose of
Vanguard CV 3 weeks later. To avoid the potential for maternal antibody
interference, dogs vaccinated at less than 9 weeks of age should receive 3
doses of the combination vaccine, each administered 3 weeks apart. Annual
revaccination with a single dose is recommended.
