A long-term polyurethane catheter kit with a guidewire introduction and a single lumen catheter. The detached extension set guidewire introducer kit includes the introducer needle, catheter-over-needle introducer, guidewire, catheter, suture wings, normally closed valve, and tethered cap.
- Non-reactive polyurethane for long-term use (can be left indwelling 3-4 weeks)
- Use for pressure monitoring, blood sampling, TPN, and administration of drugs or fluids
- Normally closed valve helps prevent loss of catheter due to accidental disconnect
