- Treated with chromium salts to prolong tensile strength and slow its absorption
- Natural twisted strands of purified connective tissue with a moderate tissue reaction
- Absorbable by an enzymatic digestive process. This process continues and is affected by a variety of factors – until the suture is completely absorbed
