Covetrus^® Brand Butorphanol Tartrate Injection is indicated for the relief of pain associated with colic and postpartum pain in adult horses and yearlings. Clinical studies in horses have shown that butorphanol tartrate injections alleviates abdominal pain associated with torsion, impaction, intussusception, and tympanic colic.
