Product Description

Vcheck measures for the highly-sensitive marker indicating thromboembolism with its D-dimer test. D-dimer is produced from degradation of crosslinked fibrin. Plasmin is the enzyme responsible for thrombolysis and acts on both fibrinogen and fibrin. Plasmin cleaves crosslinked fibrin resulting in a cleavage product consisting of two linked D domains or D-dimer. This test must be used with the V200 (SKU 080946).
