A single dose of Advantus^® soft chews starts killing adult fleas within one hour and is out of their system in 24 hours.* While it does not prevent fleas, the active ingredient, imidacloprid, is a potent insecticide that works to kill fleas when they bite your dog. When fleas ingest the product, the active ingredient over-stimulates the flea's nervous system and kills the flea. For best results, use Advantus at the first sign of fleas.
