Product Description

Cortisol is secreted from the adrenal cortex and controls glucose and fat metabolism. Cushing's disease is one of the most common endocrinopathy in older dogs. To help diagnose Cushing's disease, precise cortisol level measurement is obtained through Vcheck's cCortisol test (ACTH stimulation, low-dose dexamethasone suppression (LDDST) and high-dose dexamethasone suppression (HDDST)). This test must be used with the V200 (SKU 080946).

Features & Benefits

  • Used to diagnose or evaluate the treatment response of hyperadrenocorticism/hypoadrenocorticism
  • Clinical signs of hyperadrenocorticism (Cushing's disease): Polyuria/polydipsia, polyphagia, abdominal distension (pot-belly), etc.
  • Long-term treatment monitoring should be performed with Vcheck Cortisol after the initial diagnosis of hyperadrenocorticism/hypoadrenocorticism
  • Clinical signs of hypoadrenocorticism (Addison's disease): Lethargy, anorexia, vomiting, etc.
