The multimodal approach of Naraquin™ to phosphate binding can reduce phosphorous absorption when ingested with meals, thereby reducing phosphorous excretion in urine, as shown in a recent study of healthy cats. After one week of daily administration of Naraquin™, with food, the cats demonstrated lower urinary phosphorus levels, significantly different from pre-study levels, compared to cats not receiving the supplement. These results continued through 4 weeks as Naraquin™ demonstrated the ability to support dietary phosphate binding in cats when administered as recommended.
