OK^® steam indicator strips are used to monitor steam sterilization cycles at 250°F (121°C) and 273°F (134°C). OK strips are internal pack monitors available in short (4") and long (8") sizes. Type 4 chemical indicators can be used to confirm that all critical parameters of steam sterilization have been met: time, temperature, and saturation (ANSI/AAMI/ISO 11140-1:2014). OK strips feature instantly recognizable “ok” symbol after exposure to an effective steam sterilization cycle. The “ok” symbol will turn from off white/white to dark brown/black color. 8" OK strip also features an indicator dot at the opposing end of the strip to extend its reach in a tray or other sterilization package.
